In this submission, Carers SA is supporting the development of a Human Rights Act for South Australia. We focussed our submission on linking the experiences of South Australian Carers to key rights based concepts and observed issues around these. A South Australian Human Rights Act will provide better clarity about the rights for all members of the community and can influence other legislation relevant to Carers – including the South Australian Carer Recognition Act 2005.
