Would you like to be better connected to your local community and support services?
Then the Community Connections Program may be just right for you!
This program supports people to increase their wellbeing and to build stronger social and community connections.
Carers SA Community Connectors can “walk beside you” over 12 weeks to identify your goals and support you to connect with your local community.
This may include taking part in local community activities that you have an interest in, meeting with other people in your community who have similar interests or finding a support group.
Who Community Connections is for?
Community Connections is open to people living in South Australia who:
- are aged 18 to 64
- need short-term support to enhance their wellbeing by strengthening their connections with communities, social networks and services
- are not eligible for federal programs such as National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) or My Aged Care.
Carers SA provides the Community Connections Program in Fleurieu and Kangaroo Island, but we would be happy to connect you with any services
within the region.
The Community Connections Program is funded by the Government of South Australia – Department of Human Services.
