You do not need to have any previous experience in a caring role to contribute to the work of Carers SA. We welcome anyone in the community who is interested in lending a helping hand.
As a volunteer, not only are you giving to the community and making a vital contribution towards reaching Carers SA’s goals but you can also reap rewards from your volunteer work. Volunteers gain personal satisfaction, develop social networks, learn new skills, gain work experience and maintain existing skills.
Volunteers help Carers SA to connect with the broader community and bring energy and knowledge to our organisation. Carers SA is committed to utilising and valuing the skills, time, talents and energy of volunteers effectively.
As a volunteer with Carers SA know that we are an organisation that prioritises the safety and well-being of children and young people. The foundation of this is seen in Carers SA Commitment of Safety to Child and Young People Safety, Code of Conduct, Child and Young Person Safety Polies and Procedures. Carers SA will support our Volunteers to learn about the risks, how to recognise abuse and how to report.
If your company is involved in corporate volunteering we welcome your support.
