Research from around the world shows you can improve your wellbeing by doing five simple things as part of your day: connect, be active, keep learning, be aware and help others. These simple things enable us to manage better in difficult situations and to live happier and healthier lives.
Join us at the Gorge Wildlife Park where you can share time with other Carers, immerse ourselves in natural landscapes that make up the sanctuary and share a day of wellness together.
This event is to allow you to disconnect from the everyday stress and pressure and remind you that you and your wellbeing are important. It also allows you the opportunity to see and understand the transformative power of nature whilst enjoying some self-care.
Research shows that spending time in nature has benefits including reducing stress hormones in the body, improving mood, reducing worry, improving immune system function, improving concentration, memory and ability to think clearly and increasing our sense of vitality and feeling alive.
Carers SA will cover the cost of entrance to the park.
