Carers SA provides a number of services to young people in a caring role.

Young Carers registered with Carers SA may be eligible for supports such as:

  • Connecting with other Young Carers

    Through groups and activities (online and face to face)

  • Young Carer Counselling

    Chatting things through with a professional  (online and face to face)

  • Tailored Support Packages

    Linking Young Carers with Tailored Support Packages that can assist them in their caring role

  • One on One Support

    Provide short term 1:1 support with our goal setting/coaching program

  • Emergency respite

    Helping in a crisis with emergency respite if required

  • Advocating in Schools

    Supporting Young Carers in schools by advocating and provide training to teachers and wellbeing counsellors

  • School holiday activities

    Connecting with young people in a similar situation

  • Young Carer Bursary

    Carers SA can help Young Carers apply for the Young Carer Bursary through Young Carers Network when the applications are open
